Summer Fun Days Tweens Adventure Camp is ready to go for the Summer of 2024! We are excited to have eight great weeks of FUN! 

The Summer Fun Days Tweens Adventure camp is a co-ed Field Trip camp for youth who completed Grades 5-8.

SESSION 5 is FULL as of 1/30/24
SESSION 4 is FULL as of 2/10/24
SESSION 3 is FULL as of 2/2/24

Sessions 1, 2, 7 & 8 are Tweens Adventure Days @ Wolfe Park while Sessions 3, 4, 5 & 6 are Tweens Adventure Days Trip weeks.

Participants will get to swim at Wolfe Park Pool, Hike the trails at Great Hollow Lake, play group activities and games on Wolfe Park weeks for traditional camp. On trip weeks they will hit the road 3-4 days for fun and adventure.
Specific schedules, permission forms and required items to bring will be sent out as it gets closer to paperwork being due.
In the case of inclement weather, camp will be housed at an alternative location and most trips will still occur if it's a trip week. A newsletter will come out the Thursday before each session with the specific details. 
 
Drop off and pick up will be curb side at Wolfe Park (285 Cutlers Farm Road). Camp is from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, but hours may change a bit due to trip travel. 

This program is for youth who have completed grades 5-8. Groups will be assigned based on Fall 2024 academic year.  We unfortunately, do not take requests for group placements or allow partial day enrollments. Activities are subject to change at anytime! 

You can see how many spaces are available in each session below. If a session is full please be sure to add your child to the wait list. The last time we did our Tweens Adventure Camp was the pre-Covid error and we anticipate these few slots to fill up. If an opening occurs on a session, we will contact those on the wait list in the order in which they were placed there.  

Please note:
The minimum of 24 participants is needed to be able to run each of the four field trip weeks. (Max is 40)

The other four weeks do not have a minimum but the maximum is 30 as we will be doing some activities with the Summer Fun Days Camp program. 

Early Bird Pricing until  11:59 pm on 1/31/24 is:
Session 1, 7 & 8 $199 Residents/$224.00 Non-Resident
Session 2 $99 Residents/$124,00 Non-Resident
Session 3,4, 5 & 6 $299 Residents/$324 Non-Resident



Our Cancellation/Withdrawal procedure from all programs has changed! (as of 11/6/23 by our Parks & Recreation Commission)  
Effective December 1, 2023
Monroe Parks and Recreation Department programs are self-funded. The fees you paid for these programs are used to cover the cost of instructors, facilities and supplies. It is important to have full registration in all programs to provide the opportunity for participation and for the program to run. When you are thinking about registering for a program, please note our new policy for cancelling/withdrawing your spot.
If you need to cancel/withdraw 14 days or more prior to the start of the program you will be only refunded 50 % of the total program cost and the other 50% is the cancellation fee and will be retained by the department.
If you need to cancel/withdraw 13 days or less prior to the start of the program you will get an account credit of 50% of the total program cost and the other 50% is the cancellation fee and will be retained by the department.
After the start of any program you are registered for there are No Refunds/Credits given.
A full refund will only be given if the request is in writing with a documented medical note submitted by a physician due to an illness/injury prior to the start of program. If one started a program and can’t continue due to an injury/illness, a pro-rated refund will be given, but a documented medical note is still required.
If the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department cancels a program due to insufficient enrollment a full refund will be given. There are no refunds/credits when we reschedule a program class due to weather/unforeseen circumstance or facility changes and we provide an alternative activity.

Participants will enjoy a traditional week at camp with sports, swimming, hiking, crafts and more! There will be special food treat and "Laser Tag on the Go" makes a visit. 
 
Session 2: (7/1 - 7/3)
Summer Fun Days Tweens Adventure Camp @ Wolfe Park
Participants will enjoy a traditional week at camp with sports, swimming, hiking, crafts and more! A Mini Golf Course is coming to Wolfe Park! We will celebrate the end of a short fun week of camp with our 5th annual all-American cookout. (No camp on 7/4 & 7/5)

Participants will enjoy a traditional week at camp with sports, swimming, hiking, crafts and more!  The Game Show Mania LLC, a trivia show will make a visit! We will have an Ice Cream Sundae Social and a program wide Bingo game.
 
Session 8: World Wide Sports (8/12 - 8/16)
Summer Fun Days Tweens Adventure Camp @ Wolfe Park
Participants will enjoy a traditional week at camp with sports, swimming, hiking, crafts and more! Inflatables make a visit and we are having a pizza party too.
