CT Sports Network will be offering Cross Country training to children aged 5-12 years old (current Kindergarten through 5th grade youth) this fall at Great Hollow Lake section of Wolfe Park. The clinics are open to all runners with our training programs designed for beginners through experienced racers.The younger classes will focus on age appropriate running games and basic running techniques.  The other clinics providing a strong concentration on running form and pacing while building endurance through running drills, games and core exercises.All participant should have athletic shoes and water with them to each class. This program will still take place in light rainy conditions and meets at the Oak Grove Picnic Area.  If in doubt contact our cancellation line after 3:00 pm using 203-339-6106. Deadline to register is August 28, 2025 or until class is FULL. No registration once we start program. Please make sure you understand our refund/cancellation policy before registering.

Join us on Tuesdays at the Monroe Elementary School Gym for our Little Ninjas and Family Martial Arts Program.  (Child with older sibling or parent/guardian)This is a great program to learn a new skill, build confidence, make new friends and have FUN!!Led by our talented instructor, Chris Sansonetti and his team.  Make sure your child wears comfortable athletic clothing and brings water.  Instructors will go over optional uniform and foot wear during the first class meeting.  There are no sibling discounts or prorating.  Please make sure when you register your child that an active email is associated with their registration, as we communicate important information this way.  Also, understand that class can get postponed unexpectedly since this not a facility we have control of.  We will also update our phone information line after 3pm at 203-339-6106, if we must postpone or cancel class.Little Ninja Beginnerr:  Age appropriate and fun class that teaches life skills such as listening, focus, discipline and fitness. Ages 5-8  (New to martial arts) Little Ninja Advanced:  Age appropriate and fun class that teaches life skills such as focus, discipline, fitness and confidence.  Ages 5-9 (Previous participant in our program) Single Martial Arts: Students learn self-defense and functional fitness. (open to any single participant)  Youth 9+ years of age and up, plus adults. Family Martial Arts: Any combo of two participants that want to do martial arts together. All will learn life skills such as discipline, focus and confidence. Ages 9+ and up. This is great for parent/child, two older siblings or two friends doing this together. For all programs, a parent/guardian must stay at the gym or in parking lot lot during each class session. The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is partnering again with the Fairfield County Tennis Program to offer Adult Pickleball Clinics at Wolfe Park Courts.The program is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. At this time, these are the only slots available by the instructors. If we can get additional staff we will add more options.Come out and meet new people, plus get better at your game. Please bring a paddle, water, wear sneakers and appropriate athletic clothing. No program on October 2, 2025 and in case of inclement weather we will update our phone information line at 203-339-6106 and extend the session to an additional week. Make sure when you register that a valid email is associated with your account as this is the way we communicate with you.Deadline to register is September 15, 2025 or until filled. The 6 year olds will play in one group while the 7 & 8 year olds will combine to make the other group (number dependent).Our aim is to create enough small-sided teams to allow the players an opportunity to play a different team each week or not to play each team more than twice on any given session.  6 year olds will play 3v3 with no goalkeeper while the 7 & 8 year olds will play 4v4 with no goalkeepers. All players should wear comfortable athletic clothing, sneakers, bring a filled water bottle and a soccer ball with their name on it. A parent or guardian must stay at the field for the entire duration of each session to supervise their child. Calling all volleyball players!Join us for our popular Adult Co-ed pick-up program at Jockey Hollow Middle School. Beginner players will meet on Tuesday nights and Advanced player will meet on Wednesdays. This is not lessons or clinics, but friendly play with volleyball enthusiasts of various abilities.Come out and get some exercise, improve your game and make new friends.This session is seven weeks. Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with Greg Sansonetti and his excellent adult staff  from Fairfield County tennis to bring fall tennis to Wolfe Park. Participants should bring a racket, a filled water bottle, wear sneakers and athletic clothing.  Beginner-Player has either never held a raquet or has played sparingly without formal instruction.Advanced Beginner-Player has had introduction to grips and strokes, starts to make contact with the ball on a regular basis Low Intermediate-Player is starting to keep the ball in play, learning to serve, can volleyball and is learning court positioningIntermediate-Player can keep ball in play consistently, can hit with some spin, can serve and rally consistently Clinics are held at Wolfe Park Courts on Thursdays for a 5 week session. No class on October 2, 2025 and if we get any inclement weather we will extend the session. Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with Greg Sansonetti and his excellent adult staff  from Fairfield County tennis to bring fall tennis to Wolfe Park. Participants should bring a racket, a filled water bottle, wear sneakers and athletic clothing.  Beginner-Player has either never held a raquet or has played sparingly without formal instruction.Advanced Beginner-Player has had introduction to grips and strokes, starts to make contact with the ball on a regular basis Low Intermediate-Player is starting to keep the ball in play, learning to serve, can volleyball and is learning court positioningIntermediate-Player can keep ball in play consistently, can hit with some spin, can serve and rally consistently Clinics are held at Wolfe Park Courts on Thursdays for a 5 week session. No class on October 2, 2025 and if we get any inclement weather we will extend the session. There is no prorating or sibling discounts. Make sure when you register your participant with a valid email associated with the account. We are partnering again with CT Sports Network to allow the youngest future soccer players a chance to have fun and learn the basics right in Wolfe Park.  Ages 3-5 Only : Sessions will include hundreds of touches on the ball while encouraging the players to develop within a holistic environment. This age group will run the sessions within a 'child's fantasy world' to help the players relate to the games and skills taught each week. Skills taught through the 6 weeks that will include dribbling, passing and shooting!All players should wear comfortable athletic clothing, sneakers, bring a filled water bottle. Join us for our very popular youth soccer program this fall! We are partnering again with CT Sports Network to allow the 6-8 year old soccer players a chance to have fun and learn the basics of this great sports right in Wolfe Park.                                    For Ages 6-8 Only These sessions will provide one day a week coaching (Friday) for skill work and mock games on Sundays. We will be utilizing young local referees (allowing them an opportunity to grow as well). The CT Soccer Network coaches will be assisting the volunteer parent coach to ensure we are able to encourage the players to practice the skills taught at the clinic. The 6 year olds will play in one group while the 7 & 8 year olds will combine to make the other group (number dependent).Our aim is to create enough small-sided teams to allow the players an opportunity to play a different team each week or not to play each team more than twice on any given session.  6 year olds will play 3v3 with no goalkeeper while the 7 & 8 year olds will play 4v4 with no goalkeepers. All players should wear comfortable athletic clothing, sneakers, bring a filled water bottle and a soccer ball with their name on it. A parent or guardian must stay at the field for the entire duration of each session to supervise their child. This is not a drop and go program. Session are as follows:9/12, 9/149/19, 9/219/26, 9/2810/3, 10/510/1010/17, 10/1910/24, 10/2611/211/7, 11/9 No session on 10/12 & 10/31 Friday 5:45 pm-6:45 pm and Sunday 9:30 am-10:30 am When sunset times change we will be moving to the football field on Fridays. Inclement weather make-ups will be added as necessary. 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM    Fall 2025 Adult Co-ed Volleyball Program - Fall 1 2025 Adult Co-Ed Volleyball Tuesday Beginners/Less Competitive
Calling all volleyball players!Join us for our popular Adult Co-ed pick-up program at Jockey Hollow Middle School. Beginner players will meet on Tuesday nights and Advanced player will meet on Wednesdays. This is not lessons or clinics, but friendly play with volleyball enthusiasts of various abilities.Come out and get some exercise, improve your game and make new friends.This session is seven weeks. Nets and balls are provided as well as a coordinator, Jason Goldfarb on site to lead these nights. Participants register independently as this is not a league with set teams. Players should bring a filled water bottle, wear sneakers and appropriate athletic type clothing. Knee pads are encouraged but not required. There is no pro-rating, drop-ins and children allowed in the gym when program is going on.Dates may get pushed back a bit due to unforeseen circumstances and school events that may change during this session. This program is perfect for those who are 18 + and:*Knows the fundamental rules and rotations of volleyball*Are good with playing uncoached games*Comfortable with serving, passing, setting and hitting*Looking for casual to moderate competition (Tuesdays) and moderate to advanced    competition (Wednesday)*Comfortable and capable of light to moderate exertion for up to two hours* Enjoy playing with great people in a social/athletic environment  Please only sign up for one night (Tuesday or Wednesday) for this session. Calling all volleyball players!Join us for our popular Adult Co-ed pick-up program at Jockey Hollow Middle School. Beginner players will meet on Tuesday nights and Advanced player will meet on Wednesdays. This is not lessons or clinics, but friendly play with volleyball enthusiasts of various abilities.Come out and get some exercise, improve your game and make new friends.This session is seven weeks. Nets and balls are provided as well as a coordinator, Jason Goldfarb on site to lead these nights. Participants register independently as this is not a league with set teams. Players should bring a filled water bottle, wear sneakers and appropriate athletic type clothing. Knee pads are encouraged but not required. There is no pro-rating, drop-ins and children allowed in the gym when program is going on.Dates may get pushed back a bit due to unforeseen circumstances and school events that may change during this session. This program is perfect for those who are 18 + and:*Knows the fundamental rules and rotations of volleyball*Are good with playing uncoached games*Comfortable with serving, passing, setting and hitting*Looking for casual to moderate competition (Tuesdays) and moderate to advanced    competition (Wednesday)*Comfortable and capable of light to moderate exertion for up to two hours* Enjoy playing with great people in a social/athletic environment  Please only sign up for one night (Tuesday or Wednesday) for this session. This gives allows others a chance to participate. Deadline to register is September 26, 2025 or until filled. There is no prorating. If the program is filled up, when you try to register it will automatically put you on the free wait list. You will be contacted in the order of how you appear on the list to take a spot that may open up.Make sure you understand our refund/cancellation policy before registering.
