2026-2027 Youth Travel Basketball Program Interest List
The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will be holding tryouts soon for our travel basketball program. This will be our fourth season offering this opportunity for youth in current grades 3 through 8th pending interest/talent and coaching availability.
If your child is planning/interested in trying out, please register with fee for try-outs so we can get a good idea on how many players are seriously interested (dates, locations and times will be announced once we get our approved school permits back)
There is a $25.00 try out fee when you register. If you make a team, the fee will go towards your overall fee due for the travel basketball season once the teams are set. If you do not make a team, then we will use your fee towards the registration for our youth recreational basketball league that anyone can play instead or you will get an account credit towards another program in the future. There will be no refunds.
Please read the attached flyer for additional information that is located in bottom left of this page. It is mandatory to attend two try-out nights in order to be considered for a possible roster spot.
There is no guarantee we will be able to offer every grade level this season.
This program is only for Monroe year round youth residents. Teams are based on your current grade not age. (This is different that recreation youth league)
Grades automatically role up in our system on 9/1/26. If your grade is incorrect after that, please call us to prevent a double grade roll up when you register.
The last day to register for the interest list is September 11, 2026.
This is just the try-out registration and not signing up for a set team. You will be given special instructions to formally register and pay full fee if your child gets selected.
Make sure if you register that you are set up to receive email alerts from an active email you check regularly as this is the way we communicate.
