The American Red Cross offers a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate swimming and water safety program that teaches you, your child or other family members how to swim skill fully and safely, and think and act safely in, on and around the water. The prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of skills from the preceding level, except for Level 1, which has no prerequisites. You can download the swim placement level guide below in additional files.
Max 5 registrations for Level 1 & 2
Max 8 registrations for Level 3 & 4
Swim levels are not based on age, but based on skill level. If your child its too old or young for a program please email parksandrec@monroect.gov. Our Recreation Supervisor will work with you to get your child into the correct class.
