Gingerbread House Competition

Test your decorating skills in our 4th Annual Gingerbread House Competition!
No materials will be provided so be sure to get creative with your designs for a chance to win a prize!

Each entry must register no later than Friday, December 15, 2023. 

All entries are due Friday, December 15, 2023 by 12:30pm & required to be dropped off at the Monroe Parks & Recreation office located at 7 Fan Hill Rd, Monroe, CT 06468

Each masterpiece will then be displayed in the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library located at 733 Monroe Tpke, Monroe, CT 06468 from Friday, December 15, 2023 to Thursday, December 21, 2023 & will be posted on our Monroe Parks & Recreation Facebook page. Voting can be done both in person & virtually. 

Children under 12 category, the 13-18 category and a Family Category  winners will receive a prize! Adults will be placed in family category. Winners announced on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 12:00pm.

ALL entries must be picked up by 12:00pm on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Monroe Parks and Recreation Office (7 Fan Hill Road). You may also pick up your entry Thursday 12/21/2023 before 3:00pm at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library. ANY entry left behind will be disposed of.

Participants agree to have photos of their gingerbread creation posted on Facebook or other social media outlets and/or posted in local media.
