5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Spring Youth Soccer - Age 6
As of 4/5/24 the 7 & 8 year olds will be from 5pm-6pm for the Monday program. An email went out about the change.Thank you! CT Soccer Network - Youth Soccer Ages 3-5 & Ages 6-8 CT Soccer Network, a Monroe based company, led by UEFA A licensed ex Manchester United and Atletico Madrid coach, Rich Sutherland will be running an 8 week spring program for players aged between 3-8 years old.The spring program is run by coaches adhering to an age specific curriculum that has been designed through many years of work in Europe, Asia and the USA. Ages 3-5: Sessions will include hundreds of touches on the ball while encouraging the players to develop within a holistic environment. Using a ball as often as possible, the players will evolve through repetition and FUN based sessions. This age group will run the sessions within a 'child's fantasy world' to help the players relate to the games and skills taught each week. Skills taught through the 8 weeks will include dribbling, passing and shooting.Ages 6-8: This spring we will be unveiling a new format to our 6-8 year old soccer clinics. CT Soccer Network will provide one day a week coaching (as per in the past) and now we will be adding in a second day which will be a GAMES only session. The additional games only session will allow the players to play in their own team (set by the program) for 7 weeks and learn the game while they play. We will be utilizing young local referees (allowing them an opportunity to grow as well) along with some of the CT Soccer Network coaching staff that will assist a parent volunteer who will coach the group. The CT Soccer Network coaches will be assisting the parent coach to ensure we are able to encourage the players to practice the skills taught at the clinic earlier in the week. The games will not be result orientated and we will endeavor to try and make them as competitive as possible for everyone involved. The 6 year olds will play in one group while the 7 & 8 year olds will combine to make the other group (number dependent). Our aim is to create enough small-sided teams to allow the players an opportunity to play a different team each week or at the worst play each team twice. Our 6 year olds will play 3v3 with no goalkeeper while the 7 & 8 year olds will play 4v4 with no goalkeepers.  Practice days will be held on a Monday and the games will be on a Friday (Games on Friday's are a different time than Mondays Practices and will be between 5:45-8pm).
