9:00 AM - 4:00 PM    2026 Summer Fun Days C.I.T Program (Counselor in Training) @ Wolfe Park - C.I.T (Counselor in Training) Summer Fun Days Camp Session 1 @ Wolfe Park
Our Counselor-In-Training Program (CIT) program is a great opportunity for youth who have completed at least 9th grade to learn what it takes to a future camp counselor with Summer Fun Days Camp at Wolfe Park. The goal of the CIT program is to find participants that have a true desire to work with children and who may want to be considered for a future counselor position. Through hands on experience, the CIT's will participate in planning, implementing activities and over sight of some general camp areas with staff. CIT's will develop leadership skills, child safety, and conflict resolution skills. Each CIT will be assigned a counselor and at times, will be given a special event to help plan. A CIT is expected to collaborate with their counselor to encourage campers to participate in activities in a safe and fun environment. CIT participants will be evaluated at the conclusion of their camp service. This is a volunteer experience. CIT's are expected to be able to go into the swimming pool or lake, partake in arts & crafts, play sports and assist with lunch time duties when assigned. Deadline is May 1, 2026 and all CIT's must participate in a minimum of two full weeks. Parents, we understand that you may have questions, please have your child advocate for themselves. We will be working and mentoring your child and need them to go about our process accordingly. Please note the the "CIT Application" is listed below under "Forms" and needs to be filled out and returned to parksandrec@monroect.gov or handed in person to our office to be considered for an interview. If selected to be a CIT, you will receive additional paperwork and a code to register for the appropriate sessions.
