Kids in the Kitchen-Summer Program 2026 - Kids in the Kitchen Global Foods 1A Calling all aspiring chefs! Join Masuk High School Culinary Teacher, Ms. Amy Bien for our first ever "Kids in the Kitchen" summer series. Through Global Foods and Baking & Pastry offerings, participants will work in a professional kitchen to complete exciting, from scratch dishes each day that can be enjoyed during class or take home to share. Each course includes lessons on safety when preparing foods in using a variety of kitchen tools and equipment. Participants will work in groups to complete each dish, providing the opportunity to practice communication and teamwork as well as improve confidence and independence in the kitchen.Please note:While our kitchen does not store nuts or nut products, occasionally an ingredient may have been processed in a factory using shared equipment. Global Foods sessions may include foods such as:Italy-Pizza, Chicken Parmesan, Focaccia ArtMexico-Street Tacos, Queso, Churros France-Crepes, Chocolate Mousse, RatatouilleChina-Dumplings, Scallion Pancakes, Dipping SaucesBaking & Pastry sessions may include foods such as: Brown Butter Salted Caramel, Classic Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet Crinkle CookiesCaramel Chocolate TartsPretzels, Bagels, Cupcake Decorating At the end of each week we will culminate with an optional meet up at the Farmer's Market for a tour and interactive activity. Kids in the Kitchen-Summer Program 2026 - Kids in the Kitchen Global Foods 2B Calling all aspiring chefs! Join Masuk High School Culinary Teacher, Ms. Amy Bien for our first ever "Kids in the Kitchen" summer series. Through Global Foods and Baking & Pastry offerings, participants will work in a professional kitchen to complete exciting, from scratch dishes each day that can be enjoyed during class or take home to share. Each course includes lessons on safety when preparing foods in using a variety of kitchen tools and equipment. Participants will work in groups to complete each dish, providing the opportunity to practice communication and teamwork as well as improve confidence and independence in the kitchen.Please note:While our kitchen does not store nuts or nut products, occasionally an ingredient may have been processed in a factory using shared equipment. Global Foods sessions may include foods such as:Italy-Pizza, Chicken Parmesan, Focaccia ArtMexico-Street Tacos, Queso, Churros France-Crepes, Chocolate Mousse, RatatouilleChina-Dumplings, Scallion Pancakes, Dipping SaucesBaking & Pastry sessions may include foods such as: Brown Butter Salted Caramel, Classic Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet Crinkle CookiesCaramel Chocolate TartsPretzels, Bagels, Cupcake Decorating At the end of each week we will culminate with an optional meet up at the Farmer's Market for a tour and interactive activity.
