Spring 2025 Youth Soccer with CT Sports Network - 6 years old program Join is for our very popular youth soccer program! We are partnering again with CT Sports Network to allow the youngest future soccer players a chance to have fun and learn the basics right in Wolfe Park. Groups are divided as follows: Ages 3-5: Sessions will include hundreds of touches on the ball while encouraging the players to develop within a holistic environment. This age group will run the sessions within a 'child's fantasy world' to help the players relate to the games and skills taught each week. Skills taught through the 8 weeks that will include dribbling, passing and shooting! FRIDAY ONLY. Ages 6-8: These sessions will provide one day a week coaching (as per in the past) and there is a second day which will be a GAMES only session. We will be utilizing young local referees (allowing them an opportunity to grow as well). The CT Soccer Network coaches will be assisting the volunteer parent coach to ensure we are able to encourage the players to practice the skills taught at the clinic earlier in the week. The games will not be result orientated. We will endeavor to try and make them as competitive as possible for everyone involved. The 6 year olds will play in one group while the 7 & 8 year olds will combine to make the other group (number dependent). MONDAYS & FRIDAYS-NO PRORATING OR CHOOSING ONE DAY OR THE OTHER. Our aim is to create enough small-sided teams to allow the players an opportunity to play a different team each week or not to play each team more than twice on any given session. 6 year olds will play 3v3 with no goalkeeper while the 7 & 8 year olds will play 4v4 with no goalkeepers. Practice days will be held on a Monday and the games will be on a Friday (Games on Friday's are TBD and will be between 6-8pm). All players should wear comfortable athletic clothing, sneakers and bring a filled water bottle.

Spring 2025 Youth Soccer with CT Sports Network - 3-5 year old program Join is for our very popular youth soccer program!

Summer Fun Days 2025 C.I.T Program (Counselor in Training) - C.I.T (Counselor in Training) Summer Fun Days Camp Session 1 Our Counselor-In-Training Program (CIT) program is a great opportunity for youth who have completed at least 9th grade to learn what it takes to a future camp counselor. The goal of the CIT program is to find participants that have a true desire to work with children and who may want to be considered for a future counselor position. Through hands on experience, the CIT's will participate in planning, implementing activities and over sight of some general camp areas with staff. CIT's will develop leadership skills, child safety, and conflict resolution skills. Each CIT will be assigned a counselor and at times, will be given a special event to help plan. A CIT is expected to collaborate with their counselor to encourage campers to participate in activities in a safe and fun environment. CIT participants will be evaluated at the conclusion of their camp service. This is a volunteer experience. CIT's are expected to be able to go into the swimming pool or lake, partake in arts & crafts, play sports and assist with lunch time duties when assigned. Deadline is April 1, 2025 and all CIT's must participate in a minimum of two full weeks. Parents, we understand that you may have questions, please have your child advocate for themselves. We will be working and mentoring your child and need them to go about our process accordingly. Please note the the "CIT Application" is listed below under "Forms" and needs to be filled out and returned to parksandrec@monroect.gov or handed in person to our office to be considered for an interview. If selected to be a CIT, you will receive additional paperwork and a code to register for the appropriate sessions.

Summer Fun Days 2025 C.I.T Program (Counselor in Training) - C.I. T (Counselor in Training) Summer Fun Days Camp Session 2 (NO CAMP 7/4) Our Counselor-In-Training Program (CIT) program is a great opportunity for youth who have completed at least 9th grade to learn what it takes to a future camp counselor.
